Everyone has stresses in their life and needs a safe way to relax. Some of these stresses can’t be dealt with in a day or two. So, to prevent both the mental and physical damage that can come to any individual due to stress, learning to routinely practice yoga Nidra is something everyone can benefit from learning.
The word Nidra means sleep, and it refers to the state of deep relaxation experienced during this time. This ensures that you have enough time for your body and mind to fully relax after each session. However, some people find it difficult to do so because they are too busy with their daily routines, or they have other commitments like work or family. Nidra Yoga is a type of yoga where the practitioners are guided through meditation. The goal of Nidra Yoga is to help the practitioner sleep better. One Nidra Yoga session can be practised once a week. However, it can also be practised as often as desired, depending on the practitioner’s needs.
Nidra Yoga is a different kind of yoga that is not done traditionally but in complete darkness and the person does not move at all. The goal of Nidra Yoga is to help people reach a deep state of relaxation and meditation. The benefits include reduced stress, improved sleep quality, improved mental health, better body awareness, increased self-awareness and more.
